The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is a regulated qualification designed to prepare you to confidently manage and respond to a broad range of workplace medical emergencies. Delivered through a mix of practical and theoretical training, this course meets the standards required for appointed workplace first aiders under UK health and safety legislation. Upon successful completion, delegates receive a certificate valid for three years, empowering them with the skills and knowledge to deliver first aid effectively and confidently within their organisation.
The role and responsibilities of a workplace first aider
Assessing an incident and making safe decisions
Managing an unresponsive casualty and recovery position
CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Heart attack and stroke recognition
Choking and respiratory emergencies
Seizures, asthma, and diabetes emergencies
Anaphylaxis with treatment and auto-injector use
Shock and significant injury management
Head, spinal, and chest injuries
Wounds, bleeding control, and minor injuries
Fractures, sprains, strains, and dislocations
Burns, scalds, poisoning, and eye injuries
Duration: 3-day course
Qualification: Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
Certificate Validity: 3 years
Delivery: Practical and theoretical training, available at Medic 365 HQ in Milton Keynes or on-site at your workplace (trainer travel available)
